There are 30 teams entering this new NBA season and and only one team standing in the end as the winner of the NBA finals and the in season tournament; but which team is it going to be? There are many fan favorites between all 30 teams, but who is going to win the very first in-season tournament and to tag along with that, The NBA finals ?
There are many interesting takes and opinions on who is going to win and why but also what’s their favorite team and do they think they’re gonna win or will they even have a chance to win ?
Brody Short, a student at DHS and a basketball player and fan, Short claims that his favorite team is the Sun’s because he likes Kevin Durant and just follows whatever team that he goes to.”I like the Sun’s because of KD.” I just follow him wherever he goes and I think the Spurs are gonna win the In-Season Tournament because of the first round pick Victor Wenbenyama. Then I think the Milwaukee Bucks have a good chance to win The FInals because of Giannis Antetokounmpo and his new teammate Damian Lilard,”said Short.
Another student at DHS, Treygan Jones , has some interesting and somewhat similar pick’s about who he thinks is going to win. Jones claims that his favorite team is the Cavaliers because he really likes an NBA player by the name of Donavan Mitchell. Jones also claims that he has liked this player ever since his original team which were the Utah Jazz; Jones also claims that his mom got him a jersey of Donavan Mitchell so he just fell in love with the player ever since.” I like the Cavs because I really like Mitchell and him just as a player. I think the Suns will win the In-Season Tournament because I think they just have a pretty complete team and I think Kd and Booker will want to win so they can get the very first In Season Tournament chip. For The finals I think the Nuggets will repeat because of the hot end to their season by winning a chip is translating very well to this new and early game,”said Jones.
Harley Gibson, another student here at our very own DHS has some interesting and bold picks.”My favorite team is the Kings and honestly I think they are gonna win the finals.They went out on a bad note by losing in the first round of the NBA playoffs, so I think they are going to be looking for revenge, but also because of their dynamic duo of De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis. But for the in-season tournament , I think the Nuggets because they obviously won the NBA finals last year,” said Gibson.
