All Delta High School has been talking about is prom weekend. Between the promposals, the dresses, the suits, and the theme, there’s no doubt that prom has been the topic of this month at Delta High. The prom theme this year was Narnia.
To most people, the prom theme doesn’t matter and they just go to have a fun time. On the other hand, many people had mixed feelings about this year’s prom theme as people see it as an odd selection for this year’s prom. Some feel it’s too basic of a theme and hope next year’s theme is better. Others thought that the theme was great. If people could change the theme, what would they change it to?
“I just think no one understood the theme this year because it’s boring. It was still really pretty how they set up everything though. I just hope next year it’s something like Mardi Gras, just something more interesting,” said junior Lily Perez.
Themes are really fun to follow, especially the decorations that carry out the theme. This year’s student council worked for weeks preparing decorations, getting trees, building, and decorating to make prom memorable.
“I don’t think anyone really follows the themes. All the decorations were really pretty but I didn’t really care for the theme. If I could change it I would do something like Disney because that’s really cute. I’m really excited to see next year’s theme though,” said sophomore Skylar Kelly, who attended prom as she was asked by a junior.
The process of picking themes and decor can take a while. The student council has been working on Prom decor and the theme for roughly a month before.
