Fun things to do over break

Fun Events: Get ready to be spooked! Wanna do something fun during break? One thing is going to haunted attractions! You can go to a haunted corn maze or a haunted house. Go to a pumpkin patch! You could have a race with your friends or siblings to try and find the biggest pumpkin.

Go to Comic-Con: Have good character! Go have a fun cosplay day to be your favorite character from a movie, TV show, or a book and head to Comic-Con! Comic-Con will be happening on Sat, Oct. 12th, 9 AM - 5 PM at Two Rivers Convention Center 159 Main St, Grand Junction, CO. Go have fun and dress up before Halloween starts!

Netflix: SPOOKY SEASON! Get together with friends, family and have a movie marathon. All Halloween related movies. Get into the spirit of Halloween!

Sleep: Sleep reduces stress! Sleeping is a good way to relax but it also improves your memory. Sleep can be a healthy resource for you because its a natural painkiller, can help with weight loss, and can lower your blood pressure. Try to get some extra hours of sleep over break!

Baking: Shake and Bake! Baking is always fun when it’s a holiday. You get with your family or friends and you bake something like cookies, cupcakes, or brownies. Then you decorate them. In this case, it would be Halloween decorations. You could make a pumpkin, witch, or frankenstein. Or you could make all of them if you really wanted to! ...

Roast Marshmallows and/or Make S'mores: Grab a snack, cause you’re a snack! Gather up with family and friends by a fire and make s’mores! Roasting marshmallows are always the best especially with chocolate and graham crackers. You could make a triple s’more or just one. You can tell spooky stories while roasting marshmallows.

Go to School Sports Events: Panther spirit, we got plenty! There are three Volleyball games Freshman, JV, and Varsity on Mon, October 14, 4:30pm – 5:30pm against Basalt High School at the Delta High School. Costume Shopping: Dress to Impress! Get your best costumes! Throw a party, have fun, EAT lots of delicious food! You can be anyone you want to be. Whether that’s a dream, goal, achievement you have later in life, use this as an ability to escape yourself and be someone else!

Halloween Crafts: Mason Jars can come in handy! Old mason jars, with a little coat of paint on them, make the perfect Halloween decor for your house! If you’re not a painter you can always use construction paper or some candy with a candle to give your craft a little spooky touch!

Halloween Decorating: Trick or Treat! Spice up your house with some fake spider webs or even some decorated and carved pumpkins. A little decoration can make your house more presentable for trick or treaters!
