Kung Fu Panda 4, the film, which is slated for a March 8, 2024 release, will be the first film in the “Kung Fu Panda” franchise since 2016, when the DreamWorks Animation series concluded a planned trilogy. The films focus on Po (Jack Black), an animated enthusiastic panda bear living in a fantasy version of ancient China. The franchise will have three more installments in the future… Animated movies take time to voice act, draw, animate, and product which explains the iintervening period before this new production. Media site HITC noted in 2021, “While there is very little to go on, it’s perhaps worth acknowledging that the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the movie industry significantly, resulting in delays across a wealth of projects,” indicating that perhaps Kung Fu Panda 4’s development has suffered due to the societal issues.

 

Trolls 3 is the generic title given to the upcoming film that will serve as the threequel to Trolls, the sequel to Trolls World Tour, and the third film in the DreamWorks Trolls franchise. It is set to release on November 17, 2023. Troll originally originated from Toy history. Troll dolls were created in 1959 by Danish fisherman and woodcutter Thomas Dam. Dam could not afford a Christmas gift for his young daughter Lila and carved the doll from his imagination. Other children in the Danish town of Gjøl saw the doll and wanted one. Later Dam upgraded his ideas from the dolls to an imaginative, fictional movie interesting people similar to his daughter that enjoyed these toys.

 

Despicable Me 4 Universal Pictures has announced a new entry in the Despicable Me franchise, and Despicable Me 4 is understandably generating lots of questions. Beginning with Despicable Me in 2010, the $3.7-billion franchise has grown to become one of the highest-grossing of all time. Sequels and even spin-off prequels are consistently pumped out in two to three-year intervals, ensuring the series remains popular. In between the Despicable Me movies, themed books, video games, and short films have also been released. Amidst the pandemic, the franchise continues to thrive, with the anticipated premiere of Despicable Me 4.

 

Barbie What seems like a Mattel doll lifetime ago, Margot Robbie confirmed the “Barbie” live-action film adaptation in July 2019, with Greta Gerwig and partner Noah Baumbach co-writing the script. Gerwig was later announced to be directing the film.The news marked the famed blonde-haired doll’s 60th anniversary. “Barbie” will premiere in theaters on July 21, 2023.

Robbie, who will star as Barbie opposite Ryan Gosling’s Ken, is slated to produce the film through her production company LuckyChap Entertainment. Mattel Films and HeyDay Films will co-produce. 

 

These four upcoming films all of which have been around since early 2000’s are predicted to be in theaters within the next two years, all of which are considered children and family movies being that they’ve been “kid movies and or shows”.
