Several months ago Shad Lewis was involved in a tragic car accident. As time goes by Lewis has shown major improvements and healing every day. The Lewis family is grateful for the overwhelming love and support given by our community.

Lisa Hill and her husband, owners of Drost’s Chocolates located in Eckert, donated a $100 chocolate basket! Tickets were sold for $3 each or 4/$10. The drawing was held Thursday, February 6 at the wrestling dual against Paonia, Senior Night. Deb Brown won the Drost’s chocolate basket and graciously re-donated it.

Student Edgar Olivas also donated a Mickey Mouse roadster racers. Once again it was raffled off Saturday during the pee-wee wrestling tournament. All together our community raised over $900. All proceeds will go to the Lewis family.
