It’s been quite a semester. Football season ended 7-3. Speech and Debate swept through three tournaments in a row. Here at the Paw Print, we’ve been on a roll too. So far, both of our newspapers have come out behind schedule.
It’s okay though, our whole staff has been working hard reporting on the local stories that you, the reader, care about; and we’re getting better all the time. In that spirit, the design editor and I have decided to bring a sweeping redesign and content addition to the first issue of the Paw Print coming out next year.
We’re adding horoscopes, an advice column, and a few surprises. But we’re not just bringing improvements to our outside-facing operations, we’re also getting the old counseling office, complete with conference tables, a brand-new podcast studio (now with sound deadening), and editor offices where the counseling offices used to be.
We recognize that we’re not perfect. No amount of re-designs or moving offices that we do could fix that; however, that doesn’t mean we won’t keep striving to produce the most high-quality newspaper possible and keep empowering students to speak their minds and write truthfully.
All our work isn’t for nothing, we are very thankful for the Delta community and all the people who support our journalism whether it’s buying a cookie from our bake sales or simply reading our paper, we couldn’t produce a single newspaper without your support.
