During October, the track and field was getting remodeled by many different companies, but the main company was Fisher Tracks, and they did many things that fixed our track for a better experience during our track season. When they were remodeling it, it had delayed the home games, and the football team didn’t have a home game for about a month. 

Head Football Coach Jesse  Kendig said, “The fields have been getting remodeled, and they will be used soon.” 

The only October games happened at the end of the month on October 27 and 31, the last game of the season. 

The track was being remodeled during the football season while it was being remodeled, we had played many away games. The team traveled as far as Rawlins, Wyoming. 

The track was being remodeled for a better experience on the track while we have track meets. This football season, the team has only used the football field four times because of the remodeling. 

Jeremy McCormick, the athletics director at Delta High School, said the track had gone out for bidding, and a lot of companies had bid for the field, and multiple people wanted to remodel it.

 ¨Multiple components to it from the drain system, asphalt, and also prep work,¨ McCormick said. ¨ There were a lot of companies that have worked on it, such as Fisher Tracks. It was the one who had put the final finishes on it.¨

 Despite the number of companies that had worked on remodeling the track, it still took a long time. McCormick said, ¨They started in June, and they just finished at the end of September. Now, part of that was because they had to do the prep work, the drainage, the concrete, the dirt work, and the asphalt. And they had to let it sit for a long time before they could bring the company to do the top coat on the track, and the painting also came a couple of weeks after,¨ McCormick said.
