Along S Main St. in Delta Colorado lies a popular business named The Grove. Recently The Grove has come under new, partial ownership.
“The Grove” happens to be the name for the business, however, there are three parts that make up the property, which include a restaurant that is now named “Cassie Bees,”’ a small shopping area named “The Market,” and a big botanical garden, named “The Bloom Nursery.”
The restaurant portion has a new owner. This new owner, Cassie Vest, who happens to also be the current owner of the coffee shop on Main Street, Doghouse Espresso. Katee Denham will still maintain ownership of The Grove in its entirety. Espresso will not be shutting down, changing ownership, or changing in any other substantial ways, the only difference will be that the owner, Cassie, will be spending most of her time at The Grove, however, she will still bake for Doghouse.
Another substantial change to The Grove will be the food. The menu will be changed to reflect the new focus on breakfast and lunch rather than lunch and dinner.
“We will be serving a full breakfast menu which will include made-from-scratch buttermilk biscuits and other classic breakfast dishes. Lunch will include house-made soups and sandwiches. We will also serve chef-prepared dinners on the weekends and brunch on Sundays!” said Vest.
The tentative physical changes coming to the restaurant are an espresso machine and a general more cozy vibe with the hopes of bridging the gap between both eclectic and fine dining with good food. In the future, Vest plans on creating new jobs, expanding the menu, having guest chef pop-ups, hosting live music, and expanding as a business owner.
